The Attack (painting by Isto)
  • What's wrong is that you seemed to assume that people who oppose the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people support previous U.S. wars of aggression. None of us were around during the Mexican-American War, and I was too young to really know in detail what was happening in Vietnam through 1973, but an early memory of mine is as a 4- or 5-year-old being carried piggyback by my mother on a candlelight march on 5th Avenue. My parents were very early opponents of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War, before most of their friends had turned against it. Not that I have to prove anything. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:34, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • Well, I know that not every people who against this war actually support the US. But of course, most of them are. Most doesn't mean all. And after all, as I said, I was just joking. But I guess it was terrible.

The joke is toward those who support Ukraine and the US to continue the war. I have to make it clear that though I'm with Russia, I really want both Russia and Ukraine to stop the war immediately and find a peace solution. Everyday, when I check the news, I see thousands of people die out there. This is more than terrible.

I think I need a little explain about my POV here.

    1) When Russia attack Ukraine, the whole NATO, US and US allies start yelling. But decades ago, when the US attack Middle East (Iraq, Afghanistan,...), no one says anything. When NATO starts bombing Yugoslavia, no one says anything.
    2) When Russia jumps in to help Donbass and Lugansk separate from Ukraine, everyone against them. But in 1999, when NATO join the war in Yugoslavia (at that time, were already separated into 2 countries: Serbia and Montenegro), separate them into even smaller countries, including Kosovo, no one says anything. Those countries then, guess what, join NATO. Bruh.
    3) When Putin annex Crimea, later, Donbass land Lugansk into Russia, the whole word start yelling. But they forgot how the US annexed Mexico's land into their land. They all do it by a referendum. Yep. The joke is here. The US do some bad stuff. "Alright, no problem". Russia start doing the same thing. "Arg, get your bloody hands off, P*sstin!"
    4) Russia want Ukraine to be neutral, because they don't want NATO to get that super close to their country. They did negotiate with Ukraine about that. But Ukraine is kinda "nah." That leaves Russia no other choices.

That's just my POV. No matter you agree or not, I still respect you. Again, I support no war. I was just joking why people talk about the Russian war so much, but no one talks about what the US and NATO has done (and doing too). Of course, there's still many historical and political reasons for me to stand with Russia. But since Wiki is a neutral site, I don't want to talk too much about that. I want to be neutral as much as I can. Anyway, please help me to give your parents a warm "Xin chào" (Hello) as well as "cảm ơn" (thank you) for against the US involvement. We really appreciate that! - ABAL1412🇻🇳🇸🇺🇷🇺 (talk ☭) 12:27, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
