- Info View from Morro da Igreja, in Urubici, Santa Catarina, Brazil; the São Joaquim National Park valley is covered by fog in the morning and the Pedra Furada (Drilled Stone) is visible on the left. The park is in the Atlantic Forest biome, covering an area of 48,300 hectares (119,000 acres). Created and uploaded by Nilton Röhricht Junior - nominated by ★ -- ★ 21:59, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support Yes, it was taken by a Galaxy S7 Edge, but as in U.S. politics, the winner (wow factor) takes all. -- ★ 21:59, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment It doesn't lack wow, but it's a lot smaller than we expect, nowadays, for this kind of photo, and the lack of warm light on the land attenuates the wow a lot. I'm leaning toward opposing but will wait a little. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:22, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- I don't think 3,817 × 2,147 pixels is that small, IMO. --SHB2000 (talk) 07:56, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- It's smaller than we usually get, nowadays, for landscape FPs. And of course this isn't Quality Image Candidates; featured pictures are supposed to be the very best on the site. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:28, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- "Warm light"? It's a foggy morning! Lol ★ 10:06, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- And? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:21, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- Warm light from? ★ 18:35, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- A bulb. What do you think? Fog does not preclude sunlight. And look, you can't argue that I should find this wowing because x or y is the reason it doesn't contain something I said would have helped it to wow. Also, note that the fog is lit nicely but the unfoggy land is not. That's the point. It's too dark. Would you like to interrogate me further, or is that sufficient? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:13, 1 September 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose Lack of detail and the composition make it not FP for me. Increasing exposure could improve the image. --Tagooty (talk) 04:00, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
- Comment I would tolerate the small size, but at the same time the detail resolution is low, instead of fine details we see (when zooming in) the exagerrated sharpening typical for smartphones. Therefore, while this is a very photogenic location, I fear that even making the photo brighter would not improve it, sorry. --Aristeas (talk) 09:29, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination I'm convinced. ★ 12:59, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
