  •  Info Really happy with the composition of this one with the couple admiring the view. The nice side light on the mountain is the icing on the cake IMO. Maybe not one for pixel peeping as I only had my kit lens on me at the time, but I think the overall mood makes up for that. Created, uploaded and nominated by BigDom.

    That's right. There are three peaks next to each other right in the middle of the city, the one depicted here is the most southerly and I was standing on the middle lookout looking towards it. The idea was to include some of the buildings etc so that we could also see some of what that couple were seeing. BigDom (talk) 09:08, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    Thanks for taking a look. Yes, the limitations of Nikon's kit lens unfortunately include a pretty severe drop-off in sharpness away from the centre as you have seen here. And as for the weather, in our 6 weeks in Vietnam this was one of the better days - much less grey and hazy than usual... Not meant to be this time, I guess.
