- Info The Mille_Miglia (one thousand miles) was an open-road, endurance motorsport race established in 1927, in the northern part of Italy.
Since 1977, the race was revived as the Mille Miglia Storica.
This composition contains my best 10 photos taken during the 2nd leg of the race at the place of departureː Cervia Air Force Base.
The cars were photographed in a mini cars-circuit built inside the military airport of Pisignano in Cervia.
The weather conditions were mainly heavy rain. This made it difficult to start operations.
As described above, the tension on the faces of the pilots and navigators committed to giving the best of themselves is clearly evident.
This is a factor that enriches the composition beyond the nice vintage machines depicted...

- Comment I'd rather look at individual photos. A composite may have some educational use, but I don't prefer this way of showing the cars. To elaborate further, this would fail the requirements for a set, so why should it be nominated as a composite photo? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:10, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination
As a set of different images of the same event, and not different point of view of the same object, I didn't realize to overrule a possible feature candidation requisite. I withdraw.
By the way, thanks for your comment. -- Terragio67 (talk) 03:30, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
