English: The World Trade Center (WTC) is a building complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. It was originally a complex of seven buildings that were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The tallest buildings in the original complex, North Tower and South Tower, were collectively known as the Twin Towers and held the distinction of being the tallest buildings in the world at the time of their completion.
The site is now occupied by buildings like One World Trade Center, Three World Trade Center, Four World Trade Center, and 7 World Trade Center.
