Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki ‒ it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. Your AN postings
[edit]I saw that you have posted the same message to multiple noticeboards. For the sake of consistency, I have reverted all of the postings except for the one at COM:AN/U, since this situation is most relevant at that board. Thank you. O2 (息 • 吹) 22:30, 15 November 2007 (GMT)
- Thank you for consolidating the noticeboard but you failed to list the specific images that were vandalized. -TabooTikiGod 22:39, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
I read your message at User talk:Stahlkocher. The only license stated on ww2incolor I found here (see e.g. first *, saying pd). Maybe you contact the responsible person there to clear it.--D.W. 23:03, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- In reference to your claim, please be careful and read the following: FAQ to Purchase CD The images on the CD for purchase are US Public Domain, however, the website does not state that all of the images on the website WWII in Color are public domain. Please see website FAQ about images. Which states:
- "Most of the images stored on ww2incolor.com were collected from government sources or submitted by their respective owners. This does not mean that all images on this site are in the public domain. The majority of the images, unfortunately, have an unknown copyright status and therefore it is recommended that you do not distribute or copy them for any commercial purposes unless they are specifically stated to be in the public domain (some images have a “public domain” notice in their captions)."
