- Please restore image. It was printed in 'El Universal', a Venezuelan newspaper and available to anyone in public libraries. Once, properly attributed, it can be used for any purpose. Please be aware there is an ongoing case at Internacional Court of Justice on a border dispute between Guyana and Venezuela. At this stage, image deletion is for censoring facts that go against current Venezuelan narrative of events. Yesterday, Novembre 14th, 2023 there was a hearing at ICJ. Deleted image contradicts Venezuelan argument on its compliance of Geneva agreement among Venezuela, United Kingdom and British Guyana, February 1966. 186.185.23.89 12:37, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

- Would you please be so kind as to reconsider your F1 speedy deletion decision as the cover of a public book, published on line in an official page seems to be public domain. Were It to be otherwise, please give me directions on how to proceed in such cases. Thanks 186.185.26.63 18:06, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- I can't undelete content because I'm not an admin, but if you think it was deleted in error, there's a page you can use to request undeletion. Hope this helps. Weeklyd3 (talk) 22:58, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Comisión Mixta, asesores y Alcalde de Georgetown, Guyana..jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Comisión Mixta, asesores y Alcalde de Georgetown, Guyana..jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Wikimedia Commons does not accept fair use content.
We do this because Commons is a shared media repository. Downstream wikis have different policies based on local laws. Uses that are acceptable under US law, for example, may not be acceptable in many other countries with more restrictive rules. In addition, fair use is not compatible with our aim as a collection of freely distributable media files. Therefore, Commons cannot legally rely on fair use provisions. Non-free content that may be used with reference to fair use may be uploaded locally if your project allows this.

- Please restore image. It was printed under local copyright law in a Venezuelan newspaper and available to anyone at public libraries or the web. According to LEY SOBRE EL DERECHO DE AUTOR this imagen can be used for any purpose as it reports on political, social or economic events and does not constituye a journalist op. It should only be properly attributed as it was done.
- Please be aware there is an ongoing case at International Court of Justice on a border dispute between Guyana and Venezuela. At this stage, your image deletion appears as a censoring attempt to exclude facts that go against current Venezuelan narrative of events.

Copyright violations
[edit]
Hello Rahuldlucca.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |

- Would You please be so kind as to clearly state which Venezuelan copyright law has been violated. Current legislation allows for the use of deleted images. Were there other legislation violation, please advice me on its contenta and specific regulation. Thanks in advance. Rahuldlucca (talk) 10:48, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- Your reading of Venezuelan law (and, in particular, Article 47) is incorrect. All of the images you have uploaded have both Venezuelan and US copyrights. . Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 14:53, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- I totally disagree with but respect your reading of Venezuelan Law and a misleading belief of extraterritorial enforcement of US copyright law to local newspapers. Perhaps, International Law on copyrights could be more appropriate in judging such matters.
- In addition, I am totally unaware of other legislation issues you might have had with free images published in Venezuelan newspapers in the past. Thus, I have no interest in any further discussion on this issue. And, I shall refrain from using or contributing to commons images in the near future.
- If my respectful opinion, current thinking and past contributions are far too unacceptable, you may proceed as threatened in your previous messages and block me. Rahuldlucca (talk) 16:46, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
