They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). Permission for photos
[edit]Hi. Since organizations cannot snap photographs, you will need to provide evidence that you have permission to re-license your uploaded photos on Wikimedia Commons. This should be relatively painless if you have the rights: Follow the directions at Commons:OTRS and e-mail the address there, with copies of permission you have for each photograph. You'll then get OTRS ticket numbers you can use with the photographs to prove that the authors'/photographers' gave you the right to license the photos. Please be aware that if permission is not received, any user could potentially tag your photographs as copyright violations, and they would be removed in 7 days, so using OTRS for professional work is important.
