File tagging File:Urs Gasser at the DAH-BKC Research Sprint.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:Urs Gasser at the DAH-BKC Research Sprint.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Urs Gasser at the DAH-BKC Research Sprint.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

- Greetings Racconish. Can you help me with trying to figure this out? All the artifacts created were part of a research sprint by the center. Upon acceptance into the program, participants filled out a Google Form granting their permission for these artifacts to be part of the sprint and given the appropriate rights for us to share them on Wikiversity and the like. This was a google form--not a "written form" and it has other private information that makes it a little challenging to share outright. Essentially these were works-for-hire since the participants were compensated and informed that we would be sharing their work freely. How do I go about documenting that properly? Similarly, some of the work was done by people who work in our center--as part of our center's work and also falls under Work-for-hire which means the center owns the copyright. How do we as the center make that clear/document that more clearly to keep these things up here? --Leaton01 (talk) 10:59, 1 June 2021 (UTC)--209.6.114.168 10:57, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
- You need to give evidence the copyright owner licences these images under a CC-BY-SA license, following the procedure explained here. If unclear, let me know. — Racconish 💬 11:46, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
