Hello Dradicke, the following content you uploaded violates one or more of our policies and therefore has been or will soon be deleted:

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works
  • commercial use
  • free distribution

See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons, and Commons:Image casebook for some specific examples. Some other Wikimedia projects have different licensing policies. For example, the English Wikipedia allows fair use of sounds and photographs. This is not the case on Wikimedia Commons; "fair use" materials are not acceptable here.

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Again, please read through Commons:Licensing, which is quite crucial, to understanding how Wikimedia Commons works. Thanks for your contribution, and please do leave me a message if you have further questions.

Hallo Christian Ferrer,

die Agentur, die für Audi den Audi-Cup betreut, hat mir die schriftliche Erlaubnis gegeben, die Bilder bei Wikipedia zu verwenden. Wie lade ich die (legal) hoch? --Dradicke (talk) 09:07, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  1. they are in public domain (help) for a specific reason; or
  2. they are freely licensed by their owner, in such case please include a web link; or
  3. they are below the threshold of originality; or
  4. the copyright holder sends directly a permission to OTRS, where you can read how to do it.

  • Thanks, Christian Ferrer, but how is this typically done? In this case the owners of the logos (the football clubs) have given consent for public use to the organzizer of the event (Audi AG) which again have given their consent to an advertising agency, who then gave written consent to me....
  • What kind of written documentation could I produce? Of course I do not have a written statement by Real Madrid granting me the right to use their label, but this is a commercial event, so everybody is very interested that these images are used on Wikipedia....

Thank you for your help! --Dradicke (talk) 09:27, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • This kind of permission is not sufficiant here because a publication here includes implies the authorization of commercial use of the logos. The owners of the logos must send a permission to OTRS. But I doubt they will.

Note that you may upload some logos directly into Wikipedia under the "fair use rationale". But I'm not a specialist, you'll have to ask there. You can read en:Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. Christian Ferrer (talk) 10:14, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
