Adamson
[edit]Hi
Small world :¬) Thanks for the barnstar, we don't know who took the picture, probably my grandmother, but it was my grandfathers camera. There is a series of around 10, mostly showing him in various stages of the construction of that same building, but with one of my mother in it and some of his garden. They lived across a field from the Adamson factory and he is the guy laying bricks in white sleeves.
He did a lot of bricklaying for Adamson's firm, as well as some others such as the council on Dukinfield town hall and other buildings such as that throughout Greater Manchester, and bus journeys with him generally featured 2 or 3 buildings he had worked on. Unfortunately these were only discovered after his death and after my grandmother had suffered a stroke - my mother was too young to remember details of them and so we were stuck.
