Thank you for your interest in contributing to Wikimedia Commons, a non-profit media repository with the primary scope of providing educational and informative images and media. Self-photographs or photographs of family members and friends, where these photographs are not educational and are not used on any project, are considered to be out of the project scope and may be subject to deletion.

If you have objections to the proposed deletion of your image(s), please see the links to the relevant deletion discussion(s) (listed above or below this message box). If the image is already deleted, you can appeal it at Commons:Undeletion requests, giving a reason why it fits our scope to help others evaluate the matter.

Good morning Waqar,
The image is of the CEO of our company rather than a friend or family, and we had wanted to add this to his profile on Wikipedia.
Would this mean that we may be allowed to upload and use it?
If not, would you be able to provide any guidance on how best to upload images for this type of profile/content that will avoid deletion?
We greatly appreciate any advices that you have.
Best wishes CharlieBagley (talk) 09:00, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
Would it be possible to understand how best to submit images to be used on an individual's profile page, and to avoid deletion?
Many thanks CharlieBagley (talk) 20:02, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop re-uploading of the same file

Hi! I noticed you have uploaded files under the same name multiple times. Please notice it is not necessary to upload the same file multiple times. It won't change the description! If you want to change the Image's description, please click at the file and then at the [Edit] button above. If one or more of the files have been previously deleted, you should not re-upload the file, and instead, should open a thread at Commons:Undeletion requests, once any issues with the file's licensing have been resolved. If you have questions, you may with to review Commons:Licensing or ask a question at Commons:Help desk. Thanks.
