Biography

Ich fotografiere bereits seit meiner frühen Kindheit, besonders klassische Motivgebiete bis hin zur digitalen Bildbearbeitung faszinieren mich. Besonders die analoge Fotografie in der Kombination mit modernen Arbeitstechniken, Reproduktion, Dokumentation bis hin zur künstlerischen Bildverfremdung mit digitalen Möglichkeiten haben es mir angetan. Mich interessieren alle Bild und Motivgebiete. Da ich früher auch beruflich im redaktionellen Bereich tätig war, bin ich z.B. auch für wissenschaftliche Sach und Objektfotografie aufgeschlossen. Ebenfalls interessiere ich mich sehr für Fotografien im historischen Kontext ihrer jeweiligen geschichtlichen Bedeutung als stumme aber aussagekräftige Werke ihrer Zeit. Ebenfalls begeistert mich wie man oft schon mit einfachsten Mitteln durch Kreativität kleine Kunstwerke erschaffen kann. Ich bin der festen Überzeugung, dass die beste Ausrüstung und noch so professionelles Equipment niemals das schöpferische und fotografische Auge und das technische Können des Bildgestalters ersetzen kann.

I photograph since my early childhood, particularly classical motif areas to digital image processing fascinate me. I also am very interested in photographs in the historical context of their respective historical significance as a mute but meaningful works of their time. Also impressed me how often can create with simple means by creativity small works of art. I am firmly convinced that the best equipment and yet so professional equipment can never replace the creative and photographic eye and the technical skill of the designer's image.
