Prof. Hendry Izaac Elim, PH.D is a very simple Indonesia physicist at Pattimura university.

Dr Elim graduated in theoretical physicist field both B.Sc and M.Sc at Gadjah Mada university in 1995 and Bandung Institute of Technology in 1999. He thus pursued his Ph.D in physics department at National university of Singapore (NUS) from 2001 up to on 13rd December 2005. After his postgraduate degree, he then worked as postdoctoral fellow from 2006 to 2007 at NUS under the supervision of Prof. Ji Wei, a nonlinear optical physicist at NUS. Prof. Hendry was suddenly getting offer as a research professor (Assistant Prof.) by a direct contact from Prof. TosHIKUNI Kaino, Ph.D in the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM) at Tohoku university (~the 3rd best university in Japan after Tokyo university and Kyoto university). He worked there for 4.5 years from 0ctober 2007 to March 2012 under a super grant of ~4 trillion yen (one of the largest research grant in the whole Japan at such interval time).

In Mei 2012, Dr Elim returned to Pattimura university and contributed to make the B accreditation grade of Physics department. In the end of 2014, Prof Hendry started establishing a research laboratory of nanomaterials for photonics Nanotechnology (Lab. N4PN) and as soon as the establishment, Dr Elim built the first Nanotechnology research center and innovative Creation (PPNRI) at Pattimura university under the approvement of rector of Pattimura university, Prof. Dr. THOMAS Pentury, M.Kes, S.Pd. on 24th April 2015.

In ~2019, Prof Elim started creating integrated laboratory (i-LAB) consisted of a teaching laboratory of electronics and instrumentations (Elins teaching lab.), a creative living room that connects the teaching lab and research laboratory of PPNRI as well as Multidisciplinary Research Center of Excellence (MrCE), and Nanomedicine garden that he built since ~2017 by planting about 8 genus of zingiberaceae fruits (Galoba Maluku/ Seram island).

Recently, Dr Elim has educated 80 graduated research students in physics department and published over 93 international papers with h index ~ 26 and total citations over 2634 recorded in Web of Science / SCoPUS. Such incredible achievement has made him to be the 3rd leading physicist in Indonesia according to AD Scientific Index in October 2021.
