My Rights Retained
By publishing my work on wikipedia I lose some rights that I would have had to that piece of creative property. Very few, however, of my photographs are released into the public domain. This means that I retain some (most) of the rights to these pieces. under the Creative Commons 2.5 attribution license, one is allowed to distribute and modify the work released under that license provided that the author, me, Eric Baetscher, is attributed in the way specified by the author, me, Eric Baetscher. (There is a section on that below.)

Because required attribution is the only way that I can prevent commercial use of my photos I require strict attribution procedures, fail to meet them and you are breaching copyright law.

The attribution relates to any of my photos with licenses where attribution is requried.

Attribution
Attribution on my Creative Commons 2.5 works must be as follows:

  1. All portions of the attribution credit must be within the area of the photograph, etc. meaning that the attribution is actually on the picture.
  2. Must be in the font type "Arial Black". Color: Black with 3pt white boarder.
  3. Read: Photograph by Eric Baetscher
  4. The text of the attribution must be of an area at least 50% that of the reproduction size of the photograph, etc. or at least point 12 size font. whichever is bigger. reproduction size refers to the size of the photograph, etc. as it will be seen. (in any medium)
  5. A copy of the attribution 2.5 license or link to the Creative Commons 2.5 website must appear with the photograph, etc. in a way that it is easily visable.
  • These rules do not apply to the wikimedia foundation.

Buying rights
If all this sounds a bit crazy, I am happy to sell paritial, commercial, exclusive or all the rights to any of my photographs at reasonable prices. I simply don't want my donations being exploited. You can leave a message on my talk page or send me an email at eb1x1@yahoo.com. Thanks
