Hello, in my opinion it would be better to place photos in Category:Castles, in separate subcategories by country, instead of huge page of all castles.

Hi. I think we should use pages in subcategories by country. The categories with some pages alredy exsitsts (i.e. Category:Castles in Germany, where some castles already have their own page). The idea of this page is, that you've a sorted list by castle. If the images are just put into a category, they are only sorted by filename and not by castle.

Btw: I fixed your link: If you'd like to place a link on a category, you've to use [[:Catrogry:xyz]], otherwise the page is categorized into that category :-). Caterham 18:05, 29 September 2005 (UTC)

I agree with You that normal page allow us to sort/group pictures. But question is - maybe we should split "Castle" page into country pages or even more. My idea is to reduce size of "Castle" page, which contains more that 150 pictures and is loading very long. Maybe we should move pictures to e.g. Category:Castles in Germany, and when there is a need to group some pictures we should create separate page or separate category e.g. "Burg Are". Yes, of course we should split this page. I think the german part can be removed from here now. I created the page Castles in Germany and put there every image from here, which does not already have it's own page (which can be found via Category:Castles in Germany). Otherwise the page Castles in Germany would be huge, too. --Caterham 12:53, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

Somehow German castles seem to be listed under "France", though there might be some missing, there is only nine German castles. 85.217.21.147 21:54, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
