English: Pierre-Philippe Mignot (1715–1770), a French sculptor, studied with Louis-Claude Vassé and Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne. He won second prizes in the Prix de Rome in 1738 and 1739, and the first prize with Abigail at David's Feet in 1740, and exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1757 to 1765. He sculpted the bas-relief of a naiad on the Fontaine des Haudriettes, and his sculpture Venus Asleep is in the Ashmolean Museum.
