This photo shows the Gila, Cocopah and Barge No. 3 lined up at Yuma waiting to discharge passengers and freight.(see, Richard E. Lingenfelter, Steamboats on the Colorado River, 1852-1916, University of Arizona Press, Tucson, 1978, p.30) The Cocopah II built in 1867, was retired in 1879 and dismantled in 1881. The Gila was built in 1873 and rebuilt as the Cochan in 1899.(see, Lingenfelter, Steamboats on the Colorado River, p.76) So this photo had to have been shot between 1873 and 1879, before the 1880's.Asiaticus (talk) 04:49, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
