File structure

[edit]

@AKS471883: Thank you for the update. But next time, please edit the file as text, just moving the country code to the appropriate line in the top section of the file. Software like Inkscape adds a lot of unnecessary code, increasing the file size and complicating future edits as text. Heitordp (talk) 08:17, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Changing colors from established system to something new

[edit]

User:Heitordp, why did you change the colors [1] from the decade old hue4map scheme? Would you be fine with reverting to the UTC hue4map scheme, so that your SVG can be used as a replacement for File:UTC hue4map X world Robinson.png? The file could then be placed into Category:SVG UTC hue4maps. 78.55.90.120 14:10, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the colors to improve the contrast. I didn't realize that the previous color scheme was used in so many other pages and maps. I don't mind if you revert to that color scheme, but in this case please edit the SVG file as text, only changing the color codes in the top section of the file. Editing with software like Inkscape adds a lot of unnecessary code. Heitordp (talk) 20:37, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Make blue color brighter, and add Antarctica as gray

[edit]

Can the blue shading on the map be made brighter? Plus, add Antarctica as gray (vertical image resolution increased). Toran107 (talk) 16:26, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary occupied territories of Ukraine Time Zone

[edit]

Why are Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia placed in UTC+3 Time Zone? According to Ukrainian Law it's still UTC+2. Russian occupation is not recognized by international community, so why does Wiki applied russian laws to this matter? SanchezDuna (talk) 15:13, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@SanchezDuna: This map shows the occupied territories of Ukraine in UTC+3 because that is the time actually observed there, and the map shows the time actually observed in each place regardless of laws. For example, the map also shows some parts of Canada, US and Australia in the time that they actually observe even though it's contrary to the respective law.
