"Place: Port Sulphur, Louisiana *this is certainly incorrect. Port Sulphur is on the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet and the highest elevation is the top of the levee. There are no mountains there. More likely near Matagorda, Texas, where the Texas Gulf Sulphur Company had its mines. source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Gulf_Sulfur_Company " -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:7261:5250:79FF:67C7:93B9:DB0F (talk • contribs)

Is that a "mountain" seen at left? Or a large pile of sulphur? Compare with File:Nearly exhausted sulphur vat from which railroad cars are loaded, Freeport Sulphur Co., Hoskins Mound, Texas, 1a35438v.jpg. I'd guess it's the latter. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 22:41, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
