"[..] What I would like a second opinion on: The photo says its from 1978 but the reservoir opened in 1956. It doesn't look like the valley has ever been flooded at time of photo to me, which means something strange is going on. It may be that the reservoir is incorrectly identified. "[..] Wimbleball is my gut feeling too, the date is right and the topography a better match (as well as similar name/location). I don't think Wistlandpound was expanded, its far too small for that.
