[edit]{{Edit request}} Please update Wikimedia logo family complete-2013.svg by Wikimedia logo family complete-2013 (2).svg, e.g., replace the SVG and update the info page keeping only the {{Permprot}}, delete the dupe (2) when that worked, and tag the edit request here + the update request on COM:UPDATE as done. –Be..anyone (talk) 13:25, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

2016 version
[edit]{{Edit request}} I did a new version using the new Wikimedia/WMF logo over at File:Wikimedia logo family complete-2016.svg. Both colour, shape and text-symbol proportions have changed. I also added the blue haze outline as per the circle (but now all in blue). Should File:Wikimedia logo family complete-current.svg now be redirected there instead? /Lokal_Profil 16:23, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- edit request added since the redirect page is protected. AS the creator of the new image I would feel to biased to do the change myself. /Lokal_Profil 10:18, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Lokal Profil: Was the WMF logo changed to black (if so, was it announced somewhere?) or is it simply an alternative? I wonder why the logo at the bottom of every page [1] has not been changed. (perhaps intentionally?) --whym (talk) 12:03, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Whym: The change is described at meta:Brand (both colour and text/emblem proportion changed). That the button in the bottom hasn't changed is likely a miss(?), clicking it takes you to the end wiki with the new logo. /Lokal_Profil 13:27, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Lokal Profil: Thanks for the pointer. Do we have some more clarification on (the use cases of) the two logos? The black-and-white one is called "Wikimedia Foundation mark" accompanying the text "Wikimedia Foundation", while the three-color one is "Wikimedia mark" (with no text specified) which is "used by the Wikimedia movement around the world." It sounds like they made a foundation/movement distinction. At least, it doesn't sound like the latter has been made obsolete. If my understanding is correct, the movement logo (three-color) might be better when presenting the Wikimedia family, which is in a sense larger than WMF. --whym (talk) 00:22, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Whym: I've asked on meta:Talk:Brand#Wikimedia_vs._WMF_mark for a clarification re the recommendation for the general Wikimedia logo. In part because meta:Brand/Marks shows that it is also the version recommended for use for affiliates, hackathons etc. I also looked around on meta:Logos, wmf:Visual_identity_guidelines and wmf:Wikimedia_trademarks none of which contains the three-coloured logo. If there is a on purpose distinction however then I agree that we should keep the "movement" one in this image. /Lokal_Profil 11:52, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Whym: Looks like you were right =) /Lokal_Profil 08:39, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
