Wrong description

[edit]

It is absolutely impossible that these two ice dancers on the picture are Valerie Marcoux and Craig Buntin. Marcoux/Buntin are pair skaters, not dancers, and competed as pair skaters also in Dortmund, see the results page at the International Skating Union: http://www.isufs.org/events/cat00004219.htm I will restore the original description from the author of the picture who did not know whom he had photographed. --JRff (talk) 20:33, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Meanwhile I went through the list of ice dance participants of the 2004 World Championships in Dortmund and came to the conclusion that the two skaters on the picture are most likely Clover Zatzman and Aurimas Radisauskas, who represented Lithuania in this competition. See http://www.goldenskate.com/articles/2004/092304.shtml. Can anyone confirm? --JRff (talk) 09:57, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Finally, I could identify them without doubt. See here. Also from the exif time stamp of the photo and the time schedule here it is clear that the photo was taken during the compulsory dance, the Midnight blues. As this dance is strictly described in the rules, one can even identify the exact step during the dance. --JRff (talk) 07:42, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
