Central figure on cross seems to be Jesus Christ, as signified by the "INRI" inscription on the cross. The two women are probably two of the Mary's; Mary Magdalene, a disciple of Jesus and former prostitute, and Mary his mother. The man is likely one of his 12 principle disciples, maybe John who wrote the Book of John.
