Spelling

[edit]

Although this is titled Ulfberht, I can only make out +ULFBEHT+ without an R. Is this a typical example of an Ulfberht sword, or do they usually have an +ULFBERHT+ inlay? Earthsound (talk) 03:52, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's correct Earthsound; the swords are called "Ulfberht swords" but there's multiple variations of spelling on the swords themselves. Dainomite (talk) 03:12, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If the information in the Ulfberht article is correct, then wouldn't this be a knockoff and not an authentic Ulfberht? Apparently, +VLFBERH+T is found on the authentic swords and the fakes have +VLFBERHT+, which is closer to this one. Earthsound (talk) 15:53, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
