Colors on the sign

The colors are often specified for elements shown on auto trail signs. However, the black and white image from the 1918 Rand McNally auto trail map just says "black & red." It may mean the whole background is red, and the foreground is black, but I have interpreted it to mean a red X and a black T. Perhaps it is the other way around. Only an actual image of an original sign will give the true colors. Parsa (talk) 05:34, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
