This file is completely wrong! The map shows infalted Turkish populations abroad. Official Brazilian statistics for example mention about 5,700 Turks in Brazil and not the tenfold stated in the map. Please correct it! It is wrong for many other countries also! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sampa1974 (talk • contribs)

Search Turkish Brazilian in the English Wikipedia, there you would see how many Turks it is in Brazil. Sir II. Unknown (talk) 17:46, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is a wrong map file, because the Turkic nations are also Turkish too. This map only shows the people who are speaking Anatolian Oguz Turkish dialect. Azeris, Turkomens and Turkmens also use the same dialect with small differences. The other Turkic (means Turkish also) Uzbekhs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyzs, Tatars and Uigurs also speak Turkish of different dialects. For example Azeri Turks in Iran have at least a population of 15 million according to official Iranian population statistics and probably this figure can tend to 30 million (Iran's total population is approximately 78 million). Usually an population of 24 millions is accepted by most of the international organizations.(Boranlioglu) File:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Iran

The image should state the source and date of the statistics, but that lack is no reason for the image to be deleted. The best idea is to recreate the map from documented official sources and list those sources. This map can then be marked {{Superseded}} if it indeed wrong or out dated. If this file is being used on wiki pages to mislead people, then those pages are where that should be discussed and corrected. --Tony Wills (talk) 13:12, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The new map should have the source and date of the statistics used added to the description. --Tony Wills (talk) 21:12, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some users confuse populations of ethnic Turks and Turkish citizens. Takabeg (talk) 13:42, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The map is not correct

[edit]

I think the map is not correct cause it is 3 000 000 Turks in Algeria and 500 000 - 1 000 000 in Tunisia. Can someone change it or tell me how to change it so I can change it. Sir II. Unknown (talk) 17:41, 17 May 2013 (UTC) 17:40, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's correct. Look up Kouloughlis. Ithinkicahn (talk) 09:20, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
