Probable misidentification

[edit]

This image looks very much like Trifolium hybridum and not at all like Trifolium longipes, as far as I can say as someone, who knows Trifolium hybridum quite well, but has seen Trifolium longipes only in books and on the web. For example the leaflets are just not sufficiently narrow for Trifolium longipes. If you, the reader of this text, know Trifolium longipes and possible alternatives from America, please correct the ID of this image. --Robert Flogaus-Faust (talk) 19:33, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As was stated by another commentator, this image is of Trifolium hybridum L., alsike clover. Michael A. Vincent, Miami University, Oxford, OH
