Sorry, but I was unable to view the tree well enough to read it. How can I download in a readable form? --Rebel4462 (talk) 17:17, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this figure is right. Humans have larger genomes than rice for sure, just as an example. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2601:204:E801:CC0:9CA3:D630:AD91:8837 (talk) 21:47, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Key

[edit]

Shouldn't there be a key that indicates that the genome size is in "genes" as opposed to "base pairs" or other possible units of measure. It would be interesting to create a similar image showing both the number of base pairs and the number of genes. Also, I don't know why there is a colored dot next to rice (Oryza sativa) and humans (Homo sapiens) - is this here for an important reason. Regarding the key and "size" of the genome - based on my brief research ([1] the human genome is significantly larger in base pairs of nucleotides but smaller in number of genes. --Dbrouse (talk) 23:15, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
