Gradient and other corrections
[edit]Hello,
The source indicating a gradient is from 2001, but in 2015 the design firm Hulse&Durrell has conducted a research for the International Olympic Committee on old olympic logos. They have concluded that the gradient of the Tokyo 1964 was not present in the original logo (see here). Here there's no gradient on materials printed in 1964.
The IOC website also presents a logo without gradient.
(By the way the gradient is not the only correction made…) --Superbenjamin (talk) 15:20, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
- Currently the second link you provided IOC website shows the logo with a gradient, maybe we should change it back? --Glenxoseph (talk) 04:50, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- I came back to the previous version of Superbenjamin. I don't know why, but the Olympic website uses wrong designs that have previously been repudiated and corrected eversince (Montréal 76 with Arial, wrong logo for Munich 72, gradient for Tokyo 64, wrong G for Grenoble 1968, etc.). The previous version of the website was correct btw. VateGV ◦ taper la discut’ ◦ 15:12, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
