At the time this was uploaded, the uploader Randall311 had thought it was "League Park circa 1888 (Cincinnati Reds warming on the field)". It turns out that is actually a picture of Tinker Field in its original wooden incarnation, at a time when it was a spring training venue for the Reds, who are on the field. My guess is that the connection with the Reds is what led to the confusion on the part of the uploader, or, more likely, on the part of the original source of the picture. For comparison, check this old postcard.[1] It matches in the details, even to some of the scraggly trees behind the first base area. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots07:47, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
