Factual accuracy disputed

[edit]

I’ve flagged this map as factually inaccurate; actually it looks like some kind of Third Reich wish list/wet dream. In fact most of this territory was never dominated by Nazi Germany, ever.
For a start it includes the territory of Italy, Hungary, Romania and Finland (which were allied to, but quite separate from, Nazi Germany) as well as France and Bulgaria, which were neutral. They never got their hands on any part of the French empire, except Tunisia (by which time they’d already fled from Egypt). It shows the German occupation of the Caucasus, which only occurred in late 1942, and at the same time including East Africa (which was Italian, and lost in early 1941) and Madagascar (which was French, and occupied by the Allies in summer of 1942). It also includes territory in Egypt south of Alamein, which the Germans never got near, being the domain of Allied special forces. So, "F" for effort, I suggest...
