Seilbahn auf den Stubnerkogel

[edit]

"Stubnerkogel Seilbahn Gastein, Österreich", the photo should be correctly named.

Compare the local touristic board or community webpages:

http://family.gastein.com/de-ski_spass.htm

http://wandergastein.com/de-wanderwetter-stubnerkogel.htm

google(Stubenkogel:Stubenkogler)=68.000:8

But in (Austrian-Bavarian-)German dialect one may say "Stubenkogler-Seilbahn", Stubenkogler is then a kind of prefix, fist name or adjective. The mountain itself is always to be named Stubenkogel. Definitively.

Possibly there are more mountains carrying the same (German) name Stubnerkogel.

Possibly the slightly different name Stubenkogel (...EN...) (sounds a bit more like high level language than Stubnerkogel)

http://www.geonames.org/3334776/stubenkogel.html

is used for the same mountain, As Hohe Tauern (in the map) sounds to be near the community Bad Gastein.

Also, StubenkogLER would rather be the name for a person that lives on the Mountain StubenkogEL.

I live in Austria, native speaking German.
