The changes made by Edelseider has created a complete mess. It is great that he found a new photo of this subject. But he should have uploaded it as an own new image. The original upload was a woodcut attributed to an original photo by Paul Sinner. As such it should stay here. What we have now is the deletion of the woodcut, the destruction of its original name and attribution as a woodcut after Sinner. The new photo is a valuable new document and should be treated as such. And this file should be restored to its original file name. --Wuselig (talk) 11:57, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure if I have created a mess. On the contrary, I think that I corrected a mistake that has been transmitted for years, if not decades. The attribution of the authorship was wrong. This woodcut was not made after a photo by Paul Sinner, but by Georg Maria Eckert. This should stand corrected. --Edelseider (talk) 13:14, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The source where this image was taken from - "Wolfgang Hesse: Ansichten aus Schwaben. Land und Leute in Aufnahmen der ersten Tübinger Lichtbildner und des Fotografen Paul Sinner (1838–1925), Gebrüder Metz : Tübingen 1989, ISBN 3-921580-79-X" - states differently. But perhaps he made a wrong assumption. I inserted Eckert's photo as another version. Perhaps this helps future scholars to make the right assumption. --Wuselig (talk) 19:45, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
