There were at least two ships by this name

The Bingera built in 1905 for AUSN operated the mail service from Brisbane to Townsville and became redundant when a railway link was established. It was scrapped on Bishop Island (near the mouth of the Brisbane River) in 1929. It is the ship with the strip on its funnel and a single mast before it. There appears to be a second Bingera (which I think is the subject of most of these photos) which has two masts/cranes on the bow. Kerry Raymond (talk) 21:50, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
