This is the full text which I submitted with the revert of the file I have done today, which is shown only partially together with the image file history:

»The "removal of distracting diacritics from English names" is erroneous, as this does not take into account that the file is used for articles in several other languages. Also, the names in the map are not English but Japanese, using the Hepburn romanization. The official company names JR Kyushu and JR Hokkaido do not use diacritics, but suit yourself. I have uploaded the modified version for other editors to use if they so wish. --DAJF (talk) 23:39, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
