The plant in this image is misidentified. It is Erythronium americanum, not E. rostratum. E. americanum is a common plant in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, whereas E. rostratum does not occur spontaneously in Michigan according to Michigan Flora. The image shows a plant with a downcurved flower and petals without prominent auricles. According to the Flora of North America, the flowers of E. rostratum are pointed upwards and have petals with prominent auricles. Doppelbrau (talk) 18:47, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
