Proto-Amharic is doubtful and its area shown here way too large for 1st cent AD

[edit]

The map shows a very large area for the so-called Proto-Amharic language. Nobody really knows what Proto-Amharic was, and where it was ever spoken. The area indicated was almost certainly inhabited by peoples speaking Agaw (a Cushitic language group) in the 1st century AD. The map would be best improved by cutting off the southern part right south of Ge'ez, and remove all references to Proto-Amharic. Landroving Linguist (talk) 08:45, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
