This building was not demolished because of earthquake damage. The adjacent hotel owner (and owner of this property) had an extension plan that involved modifying this building to include parking. Instead the owner begand demolition without a permit. The illegal demolition was halted and the building stood in partial ruin until it was determined unsafe and had to be completely demolished. - — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.235.3.208 (talk • contribs)
