Isabella Clara Eugenia was 13 when this artwork was allegedly made in 1579. Isabella of Portugal would have been dead for 60 years, and Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor would have been equally 6-ft. under for 21 years. Is this the usual misidentification in the interpretation of art, or was this some sort of commemorative painting honoring the royalty of past, present and future, depicting some the way they looked in their best years, and others in the form they were hopefully expected to attain 'a few years from now'? 76.190.30.2 17:34, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
