The 2011 Irish census recorded 22,446 persons in the Republic of Ireland for whom Russian was a home language. http://www.cso.ie/px/pxeirestat/Statire/SelectVarVal/Define.asp?maintable=CDD46&PLanguage=0 The map might be updated to reflect this. Todowd (talk) 12:06, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This map seems inaccurate. In most Eastern European countries, there are less than 500,000 or less than 1% of native speakers of Russian language (coloured in green). The 500,000 native speakers condition is accurate for Ukraine and Belarus, but inaccurate for all the others, and the higher than 5% condition is accurate for some Baltic states, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Georgia, but less than 500,000 and inaccurate for all other countries. Note that we're talking about native speakers. Calusarul (talk) 08:03, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here are some more realistic figures proving my previous observations: Geographical distribution of Russian speakers Calusarul (talk) 08:30, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
