GIMP 2.6, Polyview 4.45 and Advanced TIFF Editor were used to retouch this image. The most useful and easy to use was the "fill" tool. Mike Hayes (talk) 09:17, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
Caveat

I inserted a caveat into the description of the map. The questionable selection of "invasions" (why Rurik and not Vikings, why Arabs and not the Slavs), the naming and routes (Rurik came from Bornholm? Did the Huns return to "Asia"?) and other statements ("The Goths return after having subdued Scandinavia") make this map a bit dated.--Paracel63 (talk) 17:00, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
