Pandrol or Vossloh?

[edit]

There were two contributions in the past to this image, one marking this as Pandrol type spring and another as Vossloh? type spring. I am not so expert so it would be great to resolve this in discussion. All details of the spring are very well visible on the picture, should be possible to identify? AFAIK they are quite much the same thing: both Pandrol, Vossloh (and SKL, W-type or "butterfly") springs falls under the name of elastic clips or boltless clips.
Both Pandrol and Vossloh produce this kind of clip, with minor differences. Latest Vossloh double-bent clips are a little bit more arched on the outer arms, so I may guess this is a Pandrol type (the kind used on Italian high speed network).
Anyway, the name "pandrol clip" is usually referred to the old "e-type": to avoid further edit wars, I suggest to fix the description using the generic name instead of the brand type. --Jollyroger (talk) 22:54, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a Pandrol clip - see their products - http://www.pandrol.com/index.php?/products/ - they don't make a clip that has a screw down tensioner
It looks like a Vossloh clip - see their products http://www.vossloh-fastening-systems.de/cms/en/products/system_w_21_sh/system_w_21_sh.html
Possibly it's something else 87.102.89.94 23:26, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
