Photo appears to be much older than 1949, and the original source at http://www.archivessearch.qld.gov.au/Image/DigitalImageDetails.aspx?ImageId=5342 indicates that this photo is believed to have been taken in 1905.
- There's clearly been some transcription errors. We have dates of c1922-1949, 1940-1949 and c1905 for the same photo. You're right that the uniforms appear to be pre-war, though whether 1905 or 1922 isn't clear. IMO we should change the name to exclude the date, change the description to give all three possible dates and remove the date from the date field. Mark Marathon (talk)
- Update. Checking Urquhart's biography, he was was "appointed Queensland's fourth commissioner of police on 1 January 1917; he held the position until 16 January 1921". So none of the dates given by the source can be correct. I still suggest we remove the date form the title, and from the description, and add a note to the description stating that Urquhart was Commissioner from 1917-1921.Mark Marathon (talk) 09:45, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
