Data source & data

[edit]

At this point the source given is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Geographical_distribution_of_Russian_speakers&oldid=846868911 which is not about German speakers at all. Please correct this.

Among the things that struck me are:

  • Trilingual Luxembourg has at least 90% fluent German speakers — schoolchildren actually learn to read and write German before they read and write French and Luxembourgish
  • Italy and France have a sizeable proportion of native German speakers (irrespective of their unofficial status in France)
  • There are lots of native Low German speakers in the Netherlands
  • What about Denmark's autochthonous native German speakers? Love —LiliCharlie (talk) 02:12, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Good points, especially regarding German-speakers in South Jutland region of Denmark. Argentina should also be shaded (see German Argentines). Until a reference for this data has been provided I am removing the file from articles. --Hazhk (talk) 22:39, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
