Identification

[edit]

@Jean-Pol GRANDMONT: Hello. I don't see how the mushroom in this photo can be Omphalotus olearius (unlike for instance File:Omphalotus olearius, Champigon JPG11.jpg, which does look like that species). The younger individual at the back has white gills. Surely this mushroom must be a Pleurotus, such as P. ostreatus? If I don't receive any feedback, I propose to change the identification to Pleurotus. Strobilomyces (talk) 16:15, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

OK if you are really sure of the identification, you can change it ! Jean-Pol GRANDMONT (talk) 19:35, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I am really sure it is not O. olearius, and I think "Unidentified Pleurotus" is much better, so I will change it. Strobilomyces (talk) 13:23, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I gave a wrong link above, I meant that File:Omphalotus olearius JPG16.jpg does look like O. olearius. Strobilomyces (talk) 13:32, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
