There is some disagreement about the ID of this image. Because of its origin from Richmond Nature Park it was identified as shore pine (Pinus contorta var. contorta) by an admin on the E-Flora BC web site, see [1]. This would be Pinus contorta subsp. contorta on Commons. However, it got identified as Pinus contorta subsp. latifolia for the very same reason (i. e. its location of origin) on Wikimedia Commons.
