I am absolutely sure this is not an early cheirurid (Phacopida) like Ceraurus, but rather belongs to the Phillipsiidae (Proetida), and although I cannot be sure about the genus, it strongly resembles Cummingella from the Missisippian, Pennsylvanian or early Permian. Deduced by comparison with the illustrations from the Treatise, based on the combination of the absence of genal spines, slightly concave sides of the glabella, large eyes, semicircular cephalon and pygidium. --Dwergenpaartje (talk) 15:59, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
