truck tonnage

[edit]

Be careful identifying the M35 as a "5-ton truck." Identifying trucks by tonnage is done in reference to their payload capacity. For instance, the M35 is a 2.5 ton truck ("deuce and a half") that weighs ~10,000 lbs. The M939 has the "5-ton" designation, and it weighs ~22,000 lbs.
