Hello Eiran,
I am posting this here is the hope that my message reasches you personally.
Phil Bird is my big brother. Every year around the anniversary of his suicide I get the urge to type his name into Google just to feel like he's still around, and every year there are fewer and fewer hits as his work and memory fade away gradually. XDM and Aqua Tetra (companies he co-founded to bring sport to people with spinal injury)seem to have dissapeared over time.
This year the only hit is your photograph of his cairn.
Although I am crying as I type this I wanted to let you know that I am so grateful that it is here.
I have not been to the actual cairn and I am hoping you can remember the location so I can visit it?
Phil would be 46 on 11th September this year, and although he's been gone for 13 years and I can now go most of the year without thinking of him and crying there is something about the lead up to his birthday and his death 4 days after that puts me right back to the beginning and it feels like it's just happened all over again.
I dread the day that I surf the net for remnants of his life and find nothing. Thank you for his picture.
